The regatta is organized by the Canadian Olympic Classes Icebreaker Committee
on behalf of the Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club.

The regatta is designated as an International Event with sailing taking place on the adjacent waters of Lake Ontario. It is a Gold Cup Event for the Laser Class and a Canada Games Qualifier for the Radials.

Visit this site for regatta information about the Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club Icebreaker Regatta sponsored by Audi each Victoria Day weekend in spring. This is one of our club’s most successful events attracting various fleets and crews from across Canada and abroad. It is also a training event to kick off the season.

We’ve had varied weather conditions from freezing squalls to balmy floaters and yes, even some ice pellets. But we’re a friendly and accommodating community club and enjoy having the participation at this event. We hope to see you there.

2.4 Metre Class Registration

There will be no 2.4’s at the Icebreaker Regatta this year unfortunately due to over scheduled events. Hope to see you next year!

Soling Classes at TSCC Icebreaker

We hope to see a great turnout for the Soling Class at TSCC this May 2008. Class link is here.

“There is a resurgence in the class and the Icebreaker is just what is needed to get the season off to a start. We have 6 boats confirmed with some yet to respond.” said Ken Davey.

Arrangements have been made to have tie up spots for boats which want to have dinner at the club before sailing back to EYC.

APPENDIX A
Title	The Canadian Olympic Classes Queensway Audi Icebreaker Regatta is organized by the Canadian Olympic Classes Icebreaker Regatta Committee, on behalf of the Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club
2	The Official Notice Board is located to the left of the main entrance to the clubhouse.
4	The Official Flagstaff is located immediately south of the clubhouse.
4.1	The warning signal will be made not less than 30 minutes after Flag ‘AP’ has been lowered ashore.
5	The warning signal for the first race of day one will be at 11:00, and at 10:30 on the second day.On the last day of racing, no warning signal will be made after approximately 15:30.
6	The racing will take place on the adjacent waters of Lake Ontario.
8, 10, & 13	Original Marks will be Yellow Tetrahedrons. The windward Mark or the leeward Mark 3a (as the case may be) of a Changed Course will have a Black Band. The Start/Finish Mark will be a Pole displaying a Red Flag.
11, & 20	The Race Committee will monitor / transmit on VHF Channel 67.
14 & 15	The Protest Desk will be located in the main dining room of the clubhouse.
15 & 17	Protest Time will commence approximately “one hour” after the last boat finishes the last race of the day, and will last for one hour. The exact times will be posted on the Official Notice Board.
